Glacier bolivien

Most glaciers around the world are losing volume due to global warming. At the current rate, they are projected to completely disappear by the end of the 21st century for those found at 3,500 meters in the Alps and 5,400 meters in the Andes.

With their disappearance and perhaps just before that, due to melting water trickling down the glacier, unique pages in the history of our environment will disappear forever.

There is therefore an urgent need to safeguard these particular archives of human history.
